Hayes Barton Cafe and Dessertery is a tribute to the 1940’s and America’s greatest generation. The walls are covered with the photos of men and women who served in WWII. All of whom are customers fathers, grandfathers and grandmothers. As well as photos of Hollywood’s greatest stars.

The menu at Hayes Barton Cafe is as diverse as any restaurant anywhere. Lunch boasts homemade chicken salad, pimento cheese, soups and of course “Raleigh’s Best Burger”. At dinner the lights are low and candlelight fills the intimate dining room. Crooners such as Sinatra, Dean-O, Nat King Cole, Ella and many more, provide background vocals.
